SULFUR OXIDES (SOx)
SOx is the general term used for SO2 and SO3. Sulphur Dioxide is the chemical compound for SO2. While SO2 is naturally produced during volcanic activity, the largest source of SO2 emissions is being produced as a by-product from the burning of fossil fuels (coal and oil) and the smelting of mineral ores (aluminum, copper, zinc, lead, and iron) that contain sulfur compounds.
Sulfur trioxide is the chemical compound for SO3. SO3 is produced when the SO2 reacts with water in the air.
LDX Solutions has over 15 years of experience and success mitigating SO2, SO3, and HCl through Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI) and Circulating Dry Scrubber (CDS) technologies. Our experienced designers and engineers can provide the most appropriate and economical solution for your application. Whether your efficiency needs range from 50-85% or 99% removal we can meet your needs.
